Esser Cellars Chardonnay
California

The cornerstone of Esser Chardonnay is a single lot from Clarksburg. At 45% of the blend, its pineappley, ripe citrus character is dominant in the blend; along with the sweet vanilla barrel character from its fermentation, its aromas and flavors are impressive. The other lots added baked apple fruit and lots of creamy texture along with bright crisp apple fruit along with floral character.

Esser Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon
California

Paso Robles fruit is in the forefront of this blend from Esser Cellars, lending its baked cherry, cassis and leather character to the plum jam, super-ripe, tobacco and spice profile of the Lodi wine. Added to this were small amounts of Lake County and Sonoma County wines, which provided a bit more focus and refinement to the overall blend. Cases available!

Goats do Roam Red
South Africa

Made in the style of the Côtes-du-Rhône, this is an appealing fruit-driven but elegant Shiraz-based blend also containing such typical warm-blooded varieties as Cinsaut, Grenache and Gamay Noir, with Pinotage adding some Cape color and a dash of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot contributing to the structure.

Goats do Roam White
South Africa

This full bodied un-wooded wine shows considerable character, combining the flavors and feel of our sun drenched Mediterranean climate with the distinctive fruit-focused wine style of Fairview. Goats do Roam White is a blend of Chenin Blanc (28%), Crouchen Blanc (20%), Semillon (19%), Viognier (17%) and Clairette Blanche (16%).

Goats do Roam Rosé 2006
South Africa

The grapes for this Rose were harvested from vineyards in the Paarl, Piekenerskloof, Perdeberg, Stellenbosch and Malmesbury regions. The grapes are mostly sourced from dry farmed old bush vines. These are mostly low yielding vineyards resulting in wine with considerable concentration. The remaining fruit is from trellised vineyards, with supplementary irrigation. Zesty ripe fruit, with a clean, crisp dry finish.
