November 15 – 22 ( Thanksgiving Week)

J. Lohr Riverstone Chardonnay
California

J. Lohr Estates Riverstone Chardonnay has a youthful, brassy yellow color with moderate depth. The aromas are of nectarine, peach pie and apple--combined with the perfumed vanilla and toasted oak bouquet from barrel and malolactic fermentation -creating an elegant Chardonnay from Monterey’s Arroyo Seco appellation. This wine is ideal for pairing with oven-roasted chicken, Dungeness crab or cream-sauced pasta dishes.

J. Lohr Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon
California

J. Lohr Estates Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most intensely-colored Estates Cabernets we’ve produced during my tenure. The wine color has a deep, bright, red-purple hue. An abundance of dark cherry and black currant fruit greets the nose, enhanced by spicy clove and toasty notes. On the palate, the fruit follows through with full weight and a lingering intensity and balance from the tannins. This wine is ready to be enjoyed now, or cellared for 5 years, states the winemaker.

Toad Hollow Rose
California

At a time when most American Rosé wines have either an overabundance of residual sugar or are “flabby” and lacking in acidity, we here at Toad Hollow continue to produce true French-Style, bone dry, and elegant Rosé wine produced from the noble Pinot Noir grape. Spice and pepper bring out the wonderful wild strawberry flavors. A wine that is great with sushi and wasabi or spicy Thai food. Also, try this winw with ham, a perfect match!

November 23 – December 1

Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet

Dominated by rich black fruit, this wine shows a suppleness achieved by extended aging in oak barrels. It is incredibly versatile with food. Try it with beef, pork or pasta.”

Chateau Ste. Michelle Chardonnay

“My goal is to make the Columbia Valley Chardonnay our pleasurable, food-friendly Chardonnay. The wine strikes the perfect balance of in¬tegrated fruit and oak. This is a soft, creamy Chardonnay with layered fruit characters of apricot, papaya and lemon zest accented by subtle oak nuances. I work with vineyard lots from all over the Columbia valley to make a complex, interesting Chardonnay. It is truly the “I’ll have another glass of Chard” wine, “ states the winemaker.

St. Francis Chardonnay
Sonoma, California

St. Francis Winery & Vineyards, located in the heart of Sonoma Valley, produces big, bold, full-bodied wines that deliver on flavor. Each wine is produced from 100% hand-picked Sonoma County fruit and is a direct expression of our winemaking philosophy of “maximum extraction, minimal intervention.” Fruit and pear aromas are offset on the palate by hints of oak and vanilla. Medium- to full-bodied, this Chardonnay has ripe fruit flavors, crisp high acid in the mouth, and a rich lingering finish.

St .Francis Merlot
Sonoma, California

St Francis Merlot is a varietal classic with distinctive Sonoma County style-spicy herb and vanilla overtones, which give way to full strong black fruit on the palate, nuanced with chocolate. Its round, generous tannins give it a big finish. From its humble beginnings back in 1971 with a small 100 acre farm, St Francis has grown to be one of the most respected wineries in Sonoma County. In the Fall of 1999 the construction of St. Francis’ new state of the art Winery facility was completed just in time for the 1999 harvest.

December 17 – 24 (Christmas Week)

Rombauer Chardonnay
Carneros District, California

The Rombauer family has over 30 years of winemaking experience in the Napa Valley and is dedicated to family, land, and community. The winemaker describes Rombauer’s 100% Chardonnay from Carneros as follows: “We have a particular style that we’ve developed with that wine. I wouldn’t call it buttery per se, but it is rich. Maybe some people might think it has buttery descriptors. We say its fruit forward and that the oak is very integrated into the wine.” Simply one of the finest Chardonnay’s produced.

Rombauer Merlot
Napa Valley, California

“The 2004 Napa Valley Merlot was produced from selected vineyards between Napa and Calistoga. Each vineyard chosen was selected for its low vigor to insure small vines and modest canopy in order to provide the optimal sunlight for the fruit. By utilizing this approach, we are able to produce a wine with enhanced flavor and color, yet less herbaceous. This style of boutique winemaking in small lots produces a wine which is flavorful and soft.” States Greg Graham, winemaker for Rombauer.

Fonseca ‘Bin 27’ Port
Portugal

Fonseca Bin No. 27 was created over a century ago for family consumption, and only released commercially in 1972. It is produced primarily from wines from Fonseca's own quintas in the Cima Corgo and thus shows an exceptional quality and consistency from year to year. Blended from reserve wines selected for their intense fruit character and depth of color, Fonseca Bin No. 27 spends four years in large wood vats prior to bottling. Great for after dinner!
