Hahn Chardonnay California
Butterscotch and citrus aromas jump out of the glass to greet the taster. The flavors are rich and exotic: an array of pear, melon, pineapple, mango and banana not unlike sweet fruit compote. The acidity is soft, not harsh. A great match would be grilled salmon, sautéed sole, or even crab cakes with a tropical fruit coulis.
Hahn Cabernet Sauvignon California
Big, dark berry fruit with raspberry are the predominant aromas. Blackberry and mulberry notes behind with a little, spicy thread of cinnamon and cedar. Mouth filling and round with ripe plum currant and cassis flavors that shift towards chocolate espresso. The complexity and balance make it easy to pair with food. Search out a nice rib eye, broiled and served with a not-so-spicy horseradish sauce, or perhaps even hearty Moussaka, with its rich flavors and exotic spice.
