This tropical cocktail will transport you!

Try this delicious recipe using Colina Colada, a new rum we have on our shelves at Liquor World. Read the description below in the new spirits section.

Colina Colada Original

1 1/2 oz. Colina Colada
3/4 oz. coconut cream
3 oz. pineapple juice
1 whole cherry
1 slice pineapple

Fill a Boston shaker with ice cubes. Add Colina Colada and coconut cream. Shake and then strain into a wine glass willed with crushed ice. Then fill with pineapple juice. Garnish with a cherry and/or pineapple.

Cedar & Salmon Pinot Noir
Willamette Valley, Oregon

Brimming with fresh blackberry and plum aromas, our Willamette Valley Pinot Noir gains earth and herb nuances with time. Ripe red plums and red cherries dominate the smooth palate, accented by a dash of herbs.

Cline Cashmere Red Black Magic
Sonoma, California

Cashmere wines are masterful blends showcasing flavor and versatility of California terroir.  Fred and Nancy Cline are members of the original Rhone Rangers, and in 1998 they produced and donated a half-barrel blend to benefit Hospice du Rhone, the organization that helps bring awareness to California wine producers that make Rhone varietals. The blend was composed of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre with a supple, smooth finish that Nancy likened to “liquid cashmere.” The barrel took top dollars at auction and formed the foundation for Cashmere wines.

An opulent dark red blend of Mourvedre, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Alicante Bouschet and Grenache, the inaugural 2014 vintage was created to satisfy loyal Cashmere red wine drinkers as well as those new to the growing Dark Red Blend category.

“The idea for this wine came out of my love of blending,” notes Mr. Tsegeletos. “We had excellent fruit to start with, so I knew it was going to be great even before I put it together.”
A layered, inky dark red wine with loads of luscious dark berry fruit and a rich, generous mouth-feel, the grapes that comprise Cashmere Black Magic hail from Contra Costa, Sonoma Coast, Mendocino Coast and Lake County, with over 16% of the grapes estate grown. The resulting wine was aged in 35% new French oak up to 12 months and given full malolactic fermentation.

Doña Paula Smokey Red
Mendoza, Argentina

This wine is aged using customized barrels smoked with a unique process that gives them similar aromas found in a traditional Argentinean barbecue (asado). Intense violet colored wine, with very complex aromas of red fruit jam, spices, vanilla and a delicate smokiness. On the palate it stands out for its sweet, velvety tannins.

3 New Pax Wines @ LW
California

Pax and Pam Mahle moved to wine country in 1997 to pursue careers in wine. After a few years of tasting and sourcing wine from all over California for Dean & Deluca, Pax made the decision to start his own brand from a vineyard with which he felt a kismet connection. Alder Springs Vineyard was the site, and after finding an investor to help realize the dream, Pax Mahle Wines launched in 2000.

The Mahles made a bold choice by favoring the “untapped potential”  of the Syrah grape. Their entire lineup of wines came from cool climate vineyards in  Sonoma County and Mendocino. These wines were big, rich expressions of Syrah that went on to be highly sought after. As a result, Pax quickly became established as one of California’s premier producers of Syrah.

At Pax Mahle Wines winemaking is approached holistically. This is done by taking care to use only grapes that are grown without the use of chemicals and by hand making their wines with as little intervention as possible. As a result, all of their wines are crushed by foot and hand, and fermented using only natural yeasts.

Pax North Coast Syrah
North Coast, California

Explosive aromas of sweet blackberry liqueur are highlighted by black pepper, pomegranate, violets and fresh green olive scents that develop and evolve with air and become even more exotic. Fresh and bright in the mouth with real density of flavor and concentration. A carbonic pop enlivens the intensity making this pure Syrah very satisfying on its own.

Critical Acclaim, V 92 Vinous
The 2017 Syrah (North Coast) is a new wine in the range that essentially replaces The Hermit. Ripe, open-knit and expressive, the North Coast is made in a radiant, inviting style that can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring. Moreover, it is a real overachiever, as Pax only bottled the Armagh as a vineyard-designate in 2017. Vineyard sites in the North Coast Syrah are Nellessen Vineyard, Castelli-Knight Ranch, Griffin's Lair, Walker Vine Hill, Alder Springs Vineyard, Montgomery Road Ridgetop, and Majik Vineyard.

Pax Trousseau Gris
California

Fermented in concrete this playful wine is a welcome addition to the Pax line-up. This is a bit darker in color than some previous bottlings under the Wind Gap label due to the addition of some carbonic maceration which also adds some wild aromas as well as a deeper pink hue. Some people might even call this a Rosé, or a Vin Gris. Call it what you will, this is one mouthwatering wine. This wine was made without any additions of So2 at any point in the winemaking process.

Pax Valdiguie
Mendocino, California

Grapes: Valdiguié
Vineyard/Cellar Stats: Organic farming; carbonically macerated in steel and aged four months in concrete, with zero sulfur added during the entire vinification process; bottled unfined/unfiltered; 12.2% abv

Pax Mahle is legendary in low-intervention Cali winemaking circles, having brought us Wind Gap, famous for esoteric wines like Trousseau Gris, from cool, windy NorCal sites. Pax is the eponymous label that he relaunched a few years ago (after a 2008 legal drama with former partners forced him to reboot) to do some small production, site-specific stuff from cool climate vineyards in Sonoma and Mendocino. Like this summery Valdiguié that is tastes like peppery purple sparkles, strong on the blackberry, tart raspberry, and black pepper. FitVine Rosé
California

Tribute Cabernet Sauvignon
California

A blend of three renowned California growing regions, their grapes come from Certified Sustainable vineyards in San Benito County, Paso Robles and San Lucas near Monterey. Each area brings unique characteristics to the final wine. From the heat and red fruit notes in Paso Robles, to the cooler maritime influences of San Lucas and San Benito which offer density and structure, Tribute Cabernet boasts rustic, layered flavors.

Dark juicy fruits like currant, black cherry and cassis give way to earthy notes of tea and spice. Well integrated tannins give the wine a long, velvety finish. This Cabernet underwent malolactic fermentation before 13 months of aging in toasted American oak barrels.

Tribute Sauvignon Blanc
Monterey, California

Tribute's San Lucas Vineyard in Monterey County lies on the southwestern edge of the Santa Lucia Mountain Range and is farmed with Certified Sustainable methods. The vineyards are within a protected micro climate, which allows for warmer overall daytime temperature. Morning fog and dramatic temperature shifts from morning to evening help elongate hang-time as the grape clusters rest in the cool evenings. The Lockwood Shaly Loam soil is made up of fossilized seashells similar to limestone, which is ideal for Sauvignon Blanc and results in the wine’s crisp minerality.

Bright. Crisp. Citrus.
Bold tropical notes of citrus, grapefruit and pineapple introduce this Sauvignon Blanc. Floral aromas complement the refreshing flavors. Partial sur lie aging in neutral barrels results in texture and complexity in the final wine.

Finca las Moras Malbec
San Juan, Argentina

Made from 100% Malbec grown in the Tulum Valley this fresh, medium-bodied red wine shows ripe red fruit flavors framed with an elegant touch of smoke and vanilla thanks to oak aging. Perfect for enjoying on its own or to pair with red meat and pasta dishes.

Santa Maria Valley, California

Comprised of Pinot Noir and Syrah from Presqu’ile Vineyard, this Rosé captures the essence of Santa Maria Valley: crisp ocean wind, mild summer days, and fresh strawberries. Direct-to-press, fermented by native yeasts, and aged for 6 months in stainless steel, this is a Rosé with gravitas.

Space Suit is dry hopped with Citra & Comet bringing forward light peach & melon notes. Dry hopped seasonal ale. 4.5% ABV, 9 IBUs

Boulevard Love Child #10

The tenth bottling in Boulevard's Love Child series of blended sour ales is composed primarily of a blend of Belgian-style golden ales aged in wine casks, golden ales with cherries and apricots, a golden ale fermented in a foeder and Flanders-style red ales and oud bruins. The very first release of a Love Child blend was 100% soured Bourbon Barrel Quad, but each subsequent batch has been based on golden and red ales. For that reason, the strength has been steadily declining from the 12.5 ABV of Love Child No. 1 to more recent releases in the 7.5-9.5% range.

Following primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks with thier house Belgian yeast strain, the component batches of beer were aged in a variety of previously used barrels with lactobacillus and brettanomyces. Following aging, samples were pulled from like lots and blended during a tasting session attended by brewers and members of their quality assurance team. With each release of a Love Child blend, it’s not their intention to reproduce the character of the previous year’s blend, but rather to offer a blend of the very best sour beers they have on hand.

Fossil Cove Birch Ave Blond

One of Fossil Cove's lightest offerings. Slight biscuit and caramel malt notes with delightful juicy fruit notes from use of Nugget hops. 4.7% ABV, 8 IBUs

Saison Tremist Farmhouse Ale

Saison Baksteenwinkel is a copper blond, refreshing beer of 6.2% ABV.
The Saison or ‘Belgian Farmhouse Ale’ originates from the time that farmers brewed beer in less active months and stored it until seasonal workers doubled the countryside’s population during summer.

Saison Baksteenwinkel has an earthy but pleasant mouthfeel, a lovely hay aroma and a dry bitterness on the finish that transforms this beer into a sublime thirst quencher.



4 NEW Spirits from Old Dominick

Old Dominick Honeybell Vodka

Old Dominick Huling Station

100 proof. In 1866, Domenico Canale’s spirits business was booming. Rail cars bearing oak-aged whiskeys rolled in and out of the D. Canale & Co. warehouse at Huling Station, and any bottle featuring the Old Dominick brand was known to be irrefutably fine, setting the bar for whiskey drinkers far and wide.

Today, with the revival of Old Doominick, Dominico’s great great grandsons Chris and Alex Canale are continuing his tradition. Old Dominick Huling Station is an homage to the whiskeys of 1866 by Domenico Canale in his heyday. We’re sure you’ll agree that this very small batch bourbon whiskey will set the bar today just like the barrels that rolled into Huling Station did over 150 years ago.

Old Dominick Memphis Toddy

60 proof. In a nod to rollicking pre-Prohibition Memphis, Old Dominick gives you Domenico Canale’s long-lost Memphis Toddy. Reborn from their family recipe, the Memphis Toddy blends high-rye bourbon with a curated array of natural ingredients. Milagro Anejo

The hand-picked blue agave is estate-grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. After the long aging process in oak barrels this tequila offers a rich amber color with a hint of oaky flavors that has no comparison.

Lunazul Anejo

Warm and clean 100% agave tequila, aged in Bourbon barrels for 12 to 18 months.

Tasting Notes: Bold color and full body show off vanilla and warm spice flavors.

Bacoo Rum Natural Café

Dull reddish mahogany color. Attractive aromas of circus peanuts, caramel macchiato, banana sundae with chocolate fudge, nuts and cherries, and banana peel with a satiny, bright, off-dry medium body and a tingling, interesting, medium-long spumoni gelato, coconut latte, and pepper dust finish. An attractive coffee rum with a nice combination of flavor, restraint, and tingle.

89 Points, silver medal, highly recommended.

Bacoo Rum 12 Year Old

Brilliant Bronze color. Aromas and flavors of toasted fig bread, spiced chocolate pistachio toffee, tres leech cake, and creme brûlée with a velvety, bright, fruity medium-to-full body and a tingling, engaging, long sarsaparilla with spumoni gelato, pink peppercorn, hint of bitter bark and roots, and honeyed epazote finish. An interesting, lightly herbal aged rum. 89 points. Silver and gold medals, highly recommended.

Bacoo Rum Silver 3 Year Old

Slivery straw color. Sweet aromas and flavors of coconut cream, caramelized bananas, ripe mango, clove, and spumoni with a satiny, crisp, off-dry light body and a smooth, interesting, breezy finish with nuances of candied lime finish. A sweet and slightly candied rum that will make tasty daiquiris and friendly mixed drinks.

Colina Calada Rum

Created in honor of his bride, Don Colina crafted this decadent spirit to serve to his wedding guests to represent their first kiss.
