Manu Sauvignon Blanc
Marlborough, New Zealand
$12.99

"Manu is the Maori word for bird. For Steve Bird Wines, the kite represents the standard of excellence we aspire to with our winemaking. We are not only committed to bringing you the best tasting wines but we are committed to continually improving our craft so that our wines are more sustainable, and our business more environmentally responsible.

A brilliant and vibrant wine, pale straw in color with slight green hues at its edge. This is so succulent and tasty with lime, stonefruit and herbaceous flavors. The palate is powerfully flavored and fruity showing refreshing acidity and excellent mid palate weight. The flavors flow to a dry finish with great length.

NEW Field Recordings Wines @ Liquor World

Winemaker Andrew Jones has a keen eye for diamonds in the rough: sites that are unknown or under-appreciated but hold enormous untapped potential. He strives for unique wines loaded with personality and a one-of-a-kind experience.

Field Recordings is winemaker Andrew Jones’ personal catalog of the people and places he values most. The wines are all about the flavor — with none of the pretension.

Spending his days as a vine nursery fieldman planning and planting vineyards for farmers all over California, Andrew is sometimes offered small lots of their best fruit on the side. Having stood in just about every vineyard on the Central Coast, he’s all about finding those underdogs with untapped potential. As friendships are made and opportunities are embraced, Andrew produces small quantities of soulful wine from these unusual, quiet vineyards.

Field Recordings offer single-vineyard wines with a sense of place and personality, as well as delightful blends under their Wonderwall and Fiction projects. These bottles are good enough to save for a special occasion … but they’re a laid back crew, so don’t feel bad about putting one back on a Tuesday night.

Field Recordings Dry Hop Pet Nat
Chardonnay
Paso Robles, California
$19.99

What happens when you make a 100% Chardonnay pet nat sparkling wine and dry hop it with Mosaic hops?  You get the baby of a natural wine and a sour beer. Citrusy, tart, a cross between two tasty beverages makes another.

Tasting notes: Gooseberry, Lupalin, Pears

Field Recordings Pets Petite Sirah
Central Coast, California
$19.99

85% Petite Sirah, 15% Primitivo

Tasting notes: Black Peppercorn, Plum, venison Tenderloin, Cranberry glaze

Only 8 barrels of this 100% Petite Sirah bottling were made in total. Despite its name, the Petite Sirah grape yields big, gutsy, structured wines, and this example from Andrew Jones of Field Recordings certainly does this variety justice. Succulent and juicy, this wine has a ton of personality, showing vivid floral aromas, exotic spicebox notes, and blueberry and blackberry jam on the palate.

Field Recordings Morro View
Edna Valley, California
Gruner Veltliner
$17.99

The cellar team’s favorite lot from the 2018 vintage excelled again in 2019. From their favorite vineyard in the heart of the Edna Valley. The extra rock and limestone in the soil never allowed it to be used for row crops like the majority of the other vineyard sites in Edna. The acidity from each variety pulled from Morro View is what makes them all special. The Gruner really shines in the glass.

Tasting notes: Lychee, Yuzu, Jasmine tea, electricity

Field Recordings Skins
California
$17.99

The latest from Andrew Jones, this "Skins" orange wine is a blend of Chenin Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Verdejo. That eclectic combination sees some skin contact, imparting a faintly orange-ish hue to the wine and explaining the name. Funky, cidery aromas come through on an expressive nose, while an herbal, savory note makes an appearance on the palate. Round body, racy acidity, and a long finish complete the package. Even though this is a white wine, don't serve it too cold, or you'll lose out on the aromatics. (Sara Jenkins, K&L)

NEW Teutonic Wines at Liquor World

Teutonic Wine Company is a small-production winery that strives to make the finest German and Alsatian-style wines in Oregon. The climate in Germany’s Mosel region, famed for producing some of the world’s finest Rieslings, is ideal because of its cooler growing climate which allows the fruit to hang longer on the vines without over ripening. A longer hang time gives the fruit more time to pull up complex flavors from the soil. Therefore, the vineyard sites, Teutonic sources its fruit in Oregon are located in cooler areas and at higher elevations. They only work with dry-farmed vineyards (non-irrigated farms) so that the roots grow deep into the earth, drilling through many layers of soil strata, absorbing the various mineral components from the terroir. The ideal Teutonic vines should be at least twenty years old, which become less vigorous but with more intense flavors over time. All of Teutonic’s white wines are both fermented and aged in neutral oak barrels with wild yeast from the vineyard. To ensure the wild yeast from each vineyard is used to ferment the wines, a pied de cuvée is made for each vineyard and used to inoculate the barrels accordingly. DNA tests have been run on the wines showing unclassified wild yeast strains were indeed the source of fermentation for these wines. Thus with confidence, Teutonic wines are truly made as naturally as possible.

Teutonic Wine Company Pinot Noir
Willamette Valley, Oregon
$25.99

Wine made from organically or biodynamically grown grapes with minimal intervention avoiding the use of chemicals, additives and technology.

Tasting notes: An über-delicate Pinot that demonstrates a raw, natural edge. Completely unembellished, the clean, delicate fruit comes to the fore and presents an unrivaled pristine minerality. Great for roasted crab legs, tuna and other hearty fish. Made using whole cluster fermentation.

Teutonic Wine Company Pinot Gris
Willamette Valley, Oregon
$21.99

We love the fruit that comes from the 35 year-old vines at Crow Valley Vineyard. This Pinot Gris is crisp and refreshing with fine mineral flavors that the vines absorb from the deep established roots. Golden pale in color, apple, pear, lime and lemon zest on the nose. Tastes great now, but stock away a bottled or two and see how it evolves in a year or two.

Teutonic Wine Company Riesling
Willamette Valley, Oregon

$19.99

From Crow Valley Vineyard, a 16-acre dry-farmed vineyard in the southern Willamette Valley, this is a refreshing Riesling with notes of green apple and white peach. This Riesling is great to drink now, or to put away for a few years.

Aslan Vermentino
Tuscany, Italy

$18.99

Aslan, or lion, is the heraldic symbol of Tuscany and represents bravery and all that is good. Aslan is a collection of Tuscan wines from Chianti to the southern coastal region of Maremma.

The Vermentino Maremma Toscana is a brilliant white that has clean, crisp, fresh aromas and flavors (white peach, pineapple, hints of minerality), medium body, good acidity, and a balanced, straight-up gulpable style. St. Bernardus Tokyo Wit

St. Bernardus Tokyo Sounds familiar? You are quite right, because in 2012 they launched a one-off brew on the occasion of the opening of the first St. Bernardus-themed café in the Japanese capital. Eight years later, you can sample their St. Bernardus Tokyo again, albeit with a new recipe!

The young Belgian illustrator Jonas Devacht created the artwork for the can, which consists of an impression of Japanese nightlife in the iconic streets of Kanda district, where you can find ‘Brasserie St. Bernardus’.

St. Bernardus Tokyo is an unfiltered ale, which has been brewed with a large amount of wheat, holding the middle between a white beer and a saison.

St. Bernardus Tokyo is an unfiltered, golden ale, topped off with an impressive white collar.

Character, taste, aromas: St. Bernardus Tokyo is famed for its hints of citrus, combined with likable florals of chamomile and fruity yeast aromas of banana and red apple. Attentive beer fans may also detect a hint of clove and vanilla, as well as the typical esters of our unique St. Bernardus yeast. A refreshing beer with a spicy aroma and a slight hint of bitterness and sourness on the back of the palate! A real treat for the more adventurous beer fan. 6% ABV, 15 IBUs

Fistful of Bourbon
Kentucky Small Batch Bourbon

This is a blend of five straight bourbons that creates a big and balanced bourbon that stands apart from everything else. It has notes of spice, butter, and licorice.

Dewars Double 21

In 1846, John Dewar began blending the finest whisky he could source in Scotland and bottling it with his own name on the label. Within a decade, Dewar was supplying whisky to bars and hotels throughout Scotland. By the turn of the century, the brand had expanded to become one of the best selling whiskeys in the world and today, remains the best selling Scotch whisky in the United States.

This distinctive Dewar’s blended using the same maturation processes as their flagship whisky. In stage 1 their single grain and single malt whiskeys are aged in oak casks. The second stage is blended grain and blended malt whiskeys, also aged in oak casks. Step 3 the grain and blended malt whiskeys are blended, with additional maturation in oak casks. In step 4, this meticulously blended whisky is finally aged in sherry casks.

This distinctive Dewar’s is blended from some of the rarest whiskeys in Scotland, before being finished in sherry casks.

The 21 finished in a cask that previously held Oloroso sherry. Notes of honey, along with some ripe apple and hints of golden raisin, stone and tropical fruit, along with a little bit of licorice and spice notes of cinnamon, pepper and nutmeg.

Bailey's Irish Cream Apple Pie

Bailey’s Apple Pie Irish Cream Liqueur takes all the sweetness and coziness of the iconic dessert and combines it with the creaminess and booziness you love about Baileys. I could see this flavor going perfectly in coffee, hot chocolate, or simply on the rocks. It's still pretty hot out so maybe some spiked apple pie milkshakes are in order to truly ring in fall.

Disaronno Velvet Cream

Italy - This is a very luxurious and smooth new offering produced by the makers of the world famous Disaronno Amaretto. This Limited Edition drink delivers a smooth, creamy, almond flavored finish that will appeal to all consumers who enjoy giving themselves a treat!

Two NEW from Oak & Eden

Oak & Eden In-Bottle Finished Whiskey is a first of its kind, pioneering a patented technique called in-bottle finishing, where they place a 5” long spiral cut piece of wood into every bottle of their fully aged whiskey. This technique “inspires” the whiskey, breathing new life, flavors, and aromas that couldn’t be achieved in a single barrel alone.

Oak & Eden Bourbon Rye & Spire

Like all rye whiskeys, this one starts with a mash-bill of exceptional rye, masterfully distilled and then aged in charred new American oak barrels. Time does its work, the angels take their share, and what is left is a spicy, fruity spirit, drier and full of body — distinct, distinguished and delicious.

When Oak & Eden rye enters the bottle, it takes a turn; a turn for the better. To each vessel they add a charred oak spire, meticulously crafted and forged in fire, adding more spice, rich notes of caramel, and deep and flavorful hints of smoke and coffee, accentuating this imbibable masterpiece.

The addition of their spire to finish the rye whiskey is completely unique to Oak & Eden.  In fact, the process used to produce their spire is patented and their innovative in-bottle finishing technique is patent pending.

Oak & Eden Wheat & Spire

In a traditional bourbon, you’ll find a mash bill of corn, rye, and malted barley. Swap the rye with wheat, and a whole new world of flavors open up. With all the sweetness and creaminess traditionally found in bourbon, but with virtually no bite on the finish, Wheat & Spire is among the most pleasant and drinkable whiskeys in the Oak & Eden family. We then bring this whiskey to life with a fired French Oak spire, introducing new, silky botanicals coming naturally from the French Oak.

Now that this one is bottled, the work of finishing begins. Unlike traditional finished whiskey, they do not rest the whiskey in a secondary cask, but finish the whiskey in-bottle. They do this by placing a 5” long spiral-cut piece of wood, cut from the same species of wood as the finishing barrel into our bottle. In the Wheat & Spire, they cut a Spire from French Oak, porous and rich, containing nearly twice the amount of natural botanicals as American Oak, creating a rich, fruity, silky finish.

Before they place the spire of wood into the Wheat & Spire, they expose it to fire, toasting the wood to the perfect degree that will produce a finish that is deep and rich with subtle notes of fruit and vanilla.

Plume & Petal Infused Vodka

Plume & Petal is a premium, mid-proof vodka infused with delicate, natural flavors and just a hint of honey. Bonus, it’s 30% fewer calories than a glass of white wine. Perfect poolside, at brunch, or for evening with friends, enjoy Plume & Petal as a refreshing spritz with club soda, an easy punch, or even easier, on ice. Comes in peach, lemon & cucumber flavors.

Redemption Rum Cask Finish Rye

Redemption harkens back to the 17th and 18th century, a time when rye was the dominant spirit in America. After the Prohibition forced countless distilleries to close their doors, bootleggers began distilling gin instead of rye, and for good reason — gin didn't require aging under the watchful eye of a master distiller and its true flavors could be hidden behind a mask of botanicals. As Americans grew accustomed to gin, rye whiskey became an anachronism.

Today all that is changing and rye is having a proper renaissance. Redemption has made it their sole purpose to return rye whiskey back to its rightful place. They produce award-winning whiskeys in small batches, putting a modern twist on decades old traditions. Redemption Whiskeys are meticulously hand-crafted in the river town of Lawrenceburg, Indiana at Whisky Advocate’s 2015 Distiller of the Year: the 172-year-old MGP Distillery.

While Redemption produces whiskeys perfect to have neat or on the rocks, they can serve equally well as a stunning base for both the traditional and modern cocktail. They have signature bold, spicy rye notes that shine through any cocktail without overpowering the drink. The Redemption Rye Rum Cask Finish is part of their Cask Series and is a straight rye that has been finished in Caribbean rum barrels from Plantation Rum and is bottled at 94 proof. It combines the spice-forward rye with Plantation's sweet sugar cane notes for a unique flavor and experience.

This straight rye from Redemption is finished in Caribbean rum casks. This results in a unique combination of the spice that rye is known for with the sweetness of rum.
